9 am – 9:30 am – you will be greeted in the friendly reception area of the Alexandrovsky Garden Hotel by an English speaking staff-member of our travel company. Here your MIG-29 flight program in Russia officially begins! You will be transported to Sokol airbase in one of our luxury limousines. During the trip you will pass through the historical downtown area of Nizhny Novgorod.

9:30 am – 9:45 am – on arrival to the main gate of Sokol airbase, there is a security-check procedure. It will be necessary for you to have your passport and migration card ready to display. Photo and video cameras are prohibited from entering the base. So, we strongly urge you to purchase a souvenir movie from us to supplement your great memories of your Mig-29 flight in Russia.

9:45 am – 10:30 am – traveling from Sokol gate to the Sokol airbase company museum, you will have a guided tour.

The museum is located inside the airbase itself, and available for our customers only. You would not be able to visit it just coming from the street. The museum is in a separate building with 2 floors. In front of it you can see real historical aircraft – La7, Mig-15, Mig–17,Mig-21, Mig 29, Mig-25, Mig31.

The first floor of the museum deals with the company’s history from its creation, in 1932 up until today including World War 2.

The second floor focuses on the manufacturing processes of the aircraft right from the raw material up to the test flights, themselves.

The museum will be most interesting for aviation fans. Welcome to our mini ‘Monino’ museum!

10:30 am – 11:00 am – You will be taken to the Sokol runway flight station for your Mig 29 aerobatic or Edge of Space flight, meeting with the pilots and instructors.

During the briefing with instructors, you will be informed about your flight program, where you can voice your wishes and we will try to accommodate them.

11:00am – 11:15am – The Medical check. Our doctors will check your blood pressure and your general health conditions. Special medical checks in advance are not required.

11:15 am – 11:30 am – you will go to the dressing room to be fitted with your flight suit. For your Mig-29 Edge of Space flight you will be dressed in a special pressurized G-suit. Here, you will have training on how to use your helmet, oxygen mask and other things. The entire process will be recorded for you by our camera man.

11:30 am – 12:30 am – the trip to the runway itself, together with your instructor for your amazing Mig-29 flight.

Here, you will learn about the aircraft, and undergo some basic cockpit training in the Mig-29. Then the instructor will explain all the instruments and radio communication systems to you. After completing the familiarization process, the canopy will close and the aircraft systems will be checked on the ground.

Now ... Show Time!

12:30 am – SHOW TIME. Depending on which flight program you have ordered, you will spend either 25 or 45 minutes in the air, aboard the Mig-29 on the flight of your dream! You will feel the emmense power just after take off and your speed will seem to be tremendous! Are you ready for maneuvers, yet? Here We GO! But first, our pilot will check your tolerance to conditions with small G-forces, increasing them gradually depending on your comfort level. Once you are ok – the airshow starts! Loops, rolls, inverse flight, turns, etc including the jaw-dropping Tail Slide, Hummer and Pugachev’s Cobra to finish with! Of course, you will pass the sound barrier and reach speeds of Mach1.1 to Mach 2.5 depending on the flight program you booked!

The Ultimate Moment... your pilot will say, “Take control – it is all yours!” and the legendary Mig fighter will be completely in your hands! WOW!

But first... if you are flying to the Edge of Space you will encounter the view of your life! Dark sky, with the stars seeming touchable and brilliant, and the globe of the Earth will be so easily visible at your altitude of 65000 feet! You are literally, at the Edge of Space! Your dream has, at last, come true! Your trip to Russia has made you a real V.I.P. Now you are a genuine pilot of the famous Mig 29! Here, at an altitude of 65000 feet with Mach 2.5 speed you will understand, that you made absolutely the right choice to fly to the Edge of Space in Russia!

You will never regret paying your money – you paid for a dream and made it come true! A lifetime’s satisfaction!

Your pictures and video will be sent to you by express mail within 4 days from Russia (with love) for you to show to everybody back home!

Approx. 1:30 pm to 1:45 pm – You will be landing on the runway. Once the canopy is opened you will realize, that you are actually on the ground and just how big our planet, (which seemed so small from Mig Edge of Space view) really is.

We shall provide you with special professionally-taken photos of you and your pilot in front of ‘your’ Mig fighter for a permanent memory of your tour to Russia. But... you are not yet done at the Sokol airbase...

1:45pm – 2:30 – after undressing you can relax and shower after your wonderful MIG flight and then be prepared for a special awards ceremony. Our pilots and all of the Sokol airbase staff will present you with your personal Certificate, confirming your Mig29 or Mig31 flight during your trip to Russia. All Mig flight parameters will be written down on the Certificate. If you are a pilot and have your own flight book – a special entry will be made in it, confirming your flight hour on the legendary Mig fighter! Of course, this wonderful moment will also be included in your Mig flight movie and photo album.

2:30 pm – 2:45pm – At last, you can bid the Sokol staff ‘Goodbye’ and look forward to come again for your next Mig flight! Because now, your are part of our family!
